81-home plan to transform derelict Carluke site
The JR Group has submitted plans to bring a new lease of life to an abandoned plot of land in South Lanarkshire.Plans for the site on Goremire Road in Carluke, which have been submitted to the local council, outline a possible future for the disused land including 81 affordable residences within a Community Growth Area, alongside parking provision and other local amenities.In collaboration with MAST Architects, as well as engineers Clyde Design Partnership, energy consultants Carbon Futures and planning consultants Iceni Projects, The JR Group is aiming for planning approval by this summer.As The JR Group’s first project in the Carluke area, the team has worked closely with South Lanarkshire Council on all design aspects.
