Adlington Retirement Living secures South West approval
Adlington Retirement Living has secured approval for a community in the South West.The integrated retirement development will comprise 65 stylish one, two and three-bedroom retirement apartments for the over 65s.Located to the south of Topsham Road, it will be surrounded by parks and green spaces with views over the River Exe.Formerly the site of the Exeter Royal Academy for Deaf Education, the 1.3-acre plot has been vacant for three years.Dr Ed Gladman, chief executive of Adlington Retirement Living, said: “We’re pleased to be launching our first community in the region as part of our strategic growth plan.”Our objective is to empower our older generation to live a long, happy and healthy life, supporting their independence, well-being and happiness.”Since 2008, Adlington Retirement Living has launched 17 communities across the North West, Yorkshire, Wales and the Midlands. In the past six years it has grown from 30 employees to a team of more than 250.
