Affordable homes included in eco-friendly development

The government is committing funding to ensure that further affordable housing can be delivered in Cornwall, meeting demand.Investment from Homes England is being allocated to continue to support a project to deliver new homes in Bodmin, with small and medium-sized housebuilders finding it difficult to secure traditional funding. This will see the Levelling Up Home Building Fund used to create a new neighbourhood of 170 homes, 51 of which will be affordable.A range of different homes will also be available in the new neighbourhood, with 95 two, three and four-bedroom homes being for sale, alongside 24 one and two-bedroom apartments being available for rent.This development will also see the homes centred around a 1.5-acre park, benefitting the wellbeing of residents. This will be seen through a 10% Biodiversity Net Gain, as well as bee bricks, bird boxes and meadow planting to support local wildlife that is often negatively affected by housing developments.
