Affordable housing scheme unveiled for Warrington
An affordable housing scheme is being planned for a former office accommodation and storage site to the north of the River Mersey in Warrington.Plans have been lodged to demolish the existing buildings at the land off Howley Lane, to make way for a 67-apartment scheme, comprising one four-storey office block.Harry Fairclough Construction had previously been based at the site, which currently consists of a two storey office building and car park, former warehouse type building, with permission for demolition, and a large area of hardstanding for the storage of shipping containers.Covering an area of 1.3-acres, the land is “run down”, according to a planning statement.The apartments, all of which will be affordable, will comprise a mix of one and two bedrooms.Warrington Borough Council will review the application in due course.
