Affordable housing site secured
Living Space Housing has secured a 2.8-acre site on the outskirts of Nuneaton. The parcel of land in North Warwickshire will deliver 35 affordable homes for local people in the final phase of the Plough Hill Road residential development. The development will be tenure-blind, meaning there are no explicit external indicators of tenure type in the design or layout. Local materials used will replicate nearby traditional dwellings and parking will be provided for residents and visitors. The Solihull-based Living Space will be undertaking a pre-application consultation with Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council and key stakeholders, prior to submitting a planning application in 2022.Living Space currently has 674 residential plots under development, with a combined value of more than £113m.Many housing projects are delivered to registered providers for affordable rent and shared ownership with five per cent being sold on the open market. The site neighbours with Countryside Properties PLC’s Baberton Grange development, which is currently under construction.
