Airport lines up runway extension and terminal expansion
A runway extension and expansion of the existing terminal building are among the growth initiatives outlined by Southampton Airport in a draft masterplan.The airport has launched a six-week public consultation seeking feedback on the plan which sets out its long-term vision for growth, including passenger forecasts and infrastructure requirements.By 2037, the site aims to support in excess of 1,500 jobs and contribute £400m per year to the economy.
