Almost 100 Homes Given Thumbs Up
The proposed development of almost 100 homes within a residential area in Birmingham have been given the thumbs up ahead of a planning committee meeting next week.Taylor Wimpey are seeking the go-ahead from Birmingham City Council to build 87 detached, semi-detached and terraced properties on land at Hunts Road/Ripple Road in Stirchley.Covering approximately five acres, the application site previously contained a mix of commercial and residential properties, but all have been demolished and the site is clear.The new proposals comprise 24, two-bed, 44, three-bed and 19, four-bed properties.11 of the dwellings are proposed to be affordable, of which six are for rent and five for shared ownership.The scheme provides a minimum of one parking space per two-bedroom dwelling and two spaces per three- and four-bedroom dwelling.The scheme has now been approved, subject to conditions.
