Almost 2,000 homes approved in Derbyshire
Plans for almost 2,000 homes in Derbyshire are set to be considered by the government after being approved by district councillors.Waystone Ltd is behind the behind the scheme for 59.3 acres of land north of Clowne which includes a retirement village, neighbourhood centre, hotel, restaurant, health and care, and leisure uses as well as the demolition of the Station Road Industrial Estate.Up to 1,800 homes will be constructed if the secretary of state officially signs off the plans which will see construction carried out in stages up to 2033.Bolsover District Council’s planning committee approved the scheme, known as Clowne North, which was first submitted in December 2017.
