Almost 300 Homes Given Green Light
The green light has been secured for proposals aiming to bring almost 300 new homes to a village in Leicestershire.Jelson sought the go-ahead from Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council to develop 282 residential properties on land off London Road in Markfield.The scheme comprises a mix of sizes, types and tenures, ranging from one to four bedrooms and includes, flats, terraced housing, semi-detached and detached housing. This also includes a mix of market dwellings and affordable dwellings.The application site comprises of approximately 45.2 acres of a number of irregular fields defined by boundary hedgerows and field trees, divided by a watercourse.The scheme has now been approved, subject to conditions.
