Amended homes plans tipped for approval
Amended housing plans for a site in Cumbria have received a recommendation for approval.Gleeson Homes is seeking permission to make amendments to a previously approved scheme to build 80 homes on land at Deer Park in Carlisle.The application is bidding to make amendments including the removal of a detached garage and relocation of a home within plot one, a substitution of house type in plot two, substitution of house type in plot three and removal of garages from a number of plots.The application site comprises approximately 8.7 acres which is largely undeveloped and is currently secured by palisade fencing.Plans will be reviewed by Carlisle City Council’s development control committee on Thursday 16 September.A report for the committee said: “The proposed changes would be acceptable and can be treated as minor amendments to the previously approved scheme. In all aspects, the proposal is considered to be compliant with the relevant polices in the adopted Local Plan.”
