The entire development would be named ‘Heritage Park’.Heritage House was originally used as Sheffield Royal Infirmary when it opened in 1792 and an additional wing facing south-east was added in the same style in 1883-84 giving the building its L-shape.The outpatients department is now known as Round House and was built in 1884 within the courtyard defined by the two wings of Heritage House. This originally octagonal building was extended in 1900.The hospital was closed in 1980 and was used by Aviva as offices until recently.Mabec Properties’ alterations would create 55 units in Heritage House, comprising 28 studio apartments, a one-bed apartment, 11 two-bed apartments and 15 three-bed apartments. The Round House would be converted into seven apartments and an office.Plans have yet to be submitted for the new build development.
