Approval for almost 200 homes
Plans for the construction of almost 200 homes in Hartshorne as part of a wider development have been approved.Bellway sought planning approval from South Derbyshire District Council to build 189 properties.The development, which is to be known as Springwood, will be built on land at Broomy Farm, to the west of Woodville Road.Of the 189 homes to be built on the 17-acre site, 132 will be for private sale and will comprise a mix of three and four-bedroom semi-detached and detached houses.The other 57 properties will be affordable housing for rent or shared ownership, including a range of one, two, three and four-bedroom homes.Springwood marks the latest phase of the wider development at Broomy Farm, where Bellway and its sister brand Ashberry Homes are already building a total of 400 homes at its Woodland Rise and Hartshorne View sites.
