Approval for First Phase of Pioneer Place
Maple Grove Developments, part of the Eric Wright Group, has secured consent for the first phase of development at the £21m Pioneer Place scheme in Burnley.Line up is a seven-screen cinema and 12,750 sq ft of leisure and retail floorspace across five units, centred around a public realm and a refurbished Curzon Street car park.It is expected to bring forward 120 new jobs, 180 construction roles and yield £1.35m GVA for the local economy.The development is being designed by AEW Architects with Smith Love acting as planning consultant. It is being supported with grant funding from Lancashire County Council and the Lancashire Enterprise Partnership.
