Approval for major Gateshead scheme
Full planning approval has been secured for the development of up to 2.5 million sq ft of high bay distribution or industrial accommodation at a site immediately south of the Follingsby Park Industrial development in Gateshead.Highgrove Group said site infrastructure and enabling works on the development – to be known as Follingsby Max – have started and are expected to run for six months with fully serviced plots set to be ready for development by the end of the year.The development is situated directly off the A194(M) with good access to Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland and South Tyneside. It is situated in a prime location for logistics and offers units in a range of sizes from 200,000 sq ft up to 2,500,000 sq ft.The site sits within the North East Enterprise Zone – a key strategic business employment zone launched in April 2012.
