Approval for new Flintshire retirement apartments
Approval has been secured for detailed plans to construct retirement apartments across seven blocks in a Flintshire village.Members of Flintshire County Council’s planning committee voted 14 for and one against the reserved matters application concerning over-55s housing at land south of Rhos Road, Penyffordd. The decision was in-line with a recommendation in an officer’s report considered by the committee.Lined up are seven residential blocks grouped into five collections of buildings and arranged around a central parking area and community hub building. These include Blocks A and B (ten apartments), C and D (eight), E (six), F (four) and G (eight). This equates to a total of 36 apartments across the site. The scheme has already been given outline planning permission on appeal after the application was initially refused.Latest plans also follows the refusal of a previous application for reserved matters.
