A pair of planning applications which would provide almost 200 homes in a Leicestershire town, one of which is anticipated to create more than 100 jobs during the construction phase, have been recommended for approval ahead of a planning committee meeting next week.Midland Heart is seeking the go-ahead to build 50 properties on land at Hill Top Farm.Plans comprise the demolition of existing farm buildings and a residential unit known as Ashby House, allowing for the construction of 49 two- and three-bed affordable homes.A bungalow is also proposed as a replacement dwelling to Ashby House for the vendors of the site. The application will be reviewed by Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council’s planning committee at a meeting on 12 April. In a separate application also to be reviewed at the committee meeting, Gladman is seeking outline approval for 140 homes on an adjoining site. The outline scheme would provide a 20 per cent allocation of affordable housing, along with public open space and a children’s play area. The £13.4m project is forecasted to create about 114 FTE jobs during construction.
