Approval lined up for retirement living scheme
A retirement living scheme earmarked for a site in Runcorn looks set to move forward.Housing 21 is behind the application, which is lined up for a site on Irwell Lane.Lined up is a three-storey building comprising 35 apartments for the over-65s apartments.A report drawn up ahead of Halton Borough Council’s development management committee meeting on 9 August notes that if backed, the scheme would further assist in the redevelopment of a site that is “known to the local community as a site of anti-social behaviour with past instances of drug use and arson”.Approval has been recommended.
