Approval nears for mixed-use Manchester scheme
A mixed-use scheme lined up for the outskirts of Manchester city centre could soon advance.The application concerns a vacant site bounded by Swallow Street, Stockport Road, Pennington Street and Siddall Street.Approval has already been granted for a four-storey, 24-apartment development.However, a five-storey scheme is now proposed. This would comprise 39 apartments above eight commercial units and a car park.Manchester City Council’s planning committee, which will meet on 3 June, has been recommended to grant approval.
