Approval nears for Preston development
Plans for a residential development in Preston look set to secure approval.Westchurch Homes is behind the application, with the scheme earmarked for the city’s Lightfoot Lane.Proposed is the demolition of an existing asset and the building of 61 homes. These would be made up of 43 detached properties, ten mews-style dwellings and one two-storey block of eight apartments, the latter making up the affordable housing provision.A design and access statement submitted as part of the application states that the development “would complement the size, scale and appearance of existing and proposed dwellings within the surrounding area”.Approval is therefore recommended.
