Approval tipped for Jewellery Quarter flats

Plans to create almost 60 new apartments and commercial space in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter have been recommended for approval.Elevate Property Group is behind the proposals for Heaton House and land adjoining Camden Street and Powell Street.If the go-ahead is granted by Birmingham City Council’s planning committee at a remote meeting on Thursday 7 May, existing buildings on the site, apart from Heaton House, will be knocked down to make way for part three, four and five-storey buildings.Heaton House would also be refurbished and 4,316 sq ft of commercial space created on site.The original application first called for 73 flats to be formed.
