Aspall Cyder gets expansion green light
Aspall Cyder’s bid to extend their north Suffolk site has been given the green light despite opposition from local residents. The Aspall-based company, run by the eighth generation of the Chevallier family, was granted permission by Mid Suffolk District Council to extend their press building and create a new intake building at the site.It was claimed the works would be “critical” to the “sustainability and expansion” of the business, in planning documents to Mid Suffolk District Council on behalf of Aspall.Local residents had expressed their concern over the traffic impacts, claiming there had been “detrimental impacts” on the local community in terms of increased factory and traffic noise, describing byroads and the B1077, providing access to the site, as “inadequate.”
