Belfast apartments development an investment opportunity
A Belfast apartments development which has gone on the market for just under £1.8m has already received interest from investors both big and small.A large chunk of Fortwilliam Grange at Fortwilliam Park off the Shore Road is now on the market, featuring 32 apartments, with two separate tranches of land, including one with planning permission for a further 109 apartments.It is being sold by estate agent Simon Brien and is on the market for £1.775m.The development was originally owned by the Housing Executive, then converted into a modern apartment development over a decade ago. It is currently owned by a private developer.Meanwhile, Co Down property firm Wirefox has bought an office complex in Belfast city centre.It’s taken on Longbridge House on Waring Street for an undisclosed sum.The company has plans for a mixed-use redevelopment of the Waring Street site, which will include Grade A office accommodation, and is in talks with several occupiers for various uses.The purchase of the four-storey building in Cathedral Quarter further adds to the Belfast city centre portfolio of the Holywood-based business, which owns buildings across the UK and Ireland.In April, Wirefox also announced plans to provide Grade A office accommodation after acquiring Oxford and Gloucester House on Chichester Street.Elsewhere, a five-storey office building in the heart of Belfast city centre has gone on sale. Frances House on Brunswick Street has gone on the market, with McKibbin looking after the deal.
