Bellway invests more than £1.1m in Stockton-on-Tees
National housebuilder Bellway is investing more than £1.1m in Stockton-on-Tees as part of a new housing development which is nearing completion.Over the past ten years, Bellway has built more than 450 new homes on the site of the former Visqueen factory, off Yarm Road, with the final plots now available to reserve.Bellway’s investment in the area, made as part of the planning agreement with Stockton on Tees Borough Council, is intended to improve education, transport and recreation facilities.This includes £500,000 towards the provision of school places, £346,000 towards sports facilities, £170,000 towards on-site and off-site play areas and off-site highways contributions totalling £110,000.The development includes a range of two, three and four-bedroom houses and apartments, with 48 of the 474 new homes allocated as affordable housing.
