Birmingham apartment blocks secure green light
A Birmingham application proposing the construction of a trio of apartment blocks and new commercial space has secured the green light.Blue Door Property Developments Ltd sought planning permission to redevelop land at 260 Bradford Street, including the demolition of an existing car repair workshop.The demolition will allow for the creation of three blocks, two rising to eight storeys and one rising to six.They will contain a total of 131 one-, two- and three-bed apartments, along with two commercial units.It is anticipated that the commercial space could be used for the sale of food and drink, financial services or professional services.Plans were reviewed by Birmingham City Council’s planning committee on 17 March.Members voted to approve the scheme.
