A major apartment scheme has been proposed for a site formerly used by a car repair garage in Birmingham.Blue Door Property Developments Ltd is seeking the go-ahead from Birmingham City Council to redevelop the site at 260 Bradford Street in Deritend to make way for the provision of 130 apartments and new commercial space.The application site was previously occupied by The City Centre Car Care Company, which specialises in body and paint repairs. The landowner has relocated the business and the site is now vacant.Blue Door’s plans involve the demolition of existing buildings and the construction of an eight-storey block to Bradford Street and a six-storey block to Green Street.The apartments comprise 45 one-bed, 78 two-bed and seven three-bed apartments.The proposal includes no car parking spaces but does provide cycle parking.
