Plans to convert the upper floors of an international food shop which has been trading on Liverpool’s Bold Street since the 1980s have been given the green light, paving the way for a new healthy living venture to debut in the area.Plans lodged with Liverpool City Council in February 2017 propose the change of use of the first floor of the building into a restaurant/café, while the second floor has been earmarked for a yoga and meditation studio. The facility will host small classes throughout the day and will also have consulting rooms to offer massage, physiotherapy and other specialist treatments. The basement of the building will be revamped to provide storage space and use of the ground floor for retail will be retained.
