Bolton publishes £1bn masterplan
A £1bn blueprint to create 1,800 new homes, 7,400 new jobs and generate £412m economic activity in Bolton has been published by the council.The masterplan sets out how the town centre will be transformed up to and beyond 2030.Bolton Council has approved borrowing of £100m to kick-start the project across five strategic sites: Trinity Quarter, Cheadle Square, Crompton Place, Church Wharf and Croal Valley.The £100m will be used to get the sites ‘development ready’ and deliver infrastructure and public realm projects.
