Bruntwood unveils vision for Albert Square workspace
Bruntwood has unveiled its vision to redevelop a prominent building on Manchester’s Albert Square into a 66,697 sq ft workspace with a fifth-floor penthouse suite.The commercial property company said that the six-storey Commercial Union House, which was formerly home to Aviva Insurance, will now be known as Union “to reflect the emergence of a new collaborative, creatively-minded business community in the city”.Upon completion, Union will provide five upper floors of workspace, including a penthouse suite. Floor plates will range from 9,389 sq ft to 10,691 sq ft, while there will also be a new ground-floor reception and 12,500 sq ft of retail space.All will be refurbished with a modern industrial feel, exposing elements of the building fabric and using new glazing throughout to introduce more natural light.
