Build of new council homes in Livingston underway
Work is progressing on the build of 29 new council homes in Livingston as part of West Lothian Council target of creating 3,000 new affordable homes in the constituency by 2022.CCG commenced construction work last month (April) on the development which comprises a mixture of two, three, four and five bedroom houses as well as two and three bedroom bungalows.The local authority said that it expects construction work to be complete by early summer 2022. The site will form part of their target to make 3,000 new affordable homes available by March 2023 – which includes a mixture of new build homes and properties purchased from the open market to made available for social housing.
