Buildings approved for demolition at Charnwood Campus

Plans to knock down three buildings at a Leicestershire business park focused on the bioscience, biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors have been approved.Charnwood Campus Management has secured the go-head from the borough council at the Loughborough site which also includes the demolition of the redundant elevated gantries which have become “unsightly and are deteriorating”.A three-storey building with 51,117 sq ft of space will now be knocked down as well as a two-storey property with 43,809 sq ft of total floor area.A single-storey building with 4,208 sq ft of space will also be demolished.Charnwood Capus is set in 70 acres of grounds and is the first and only Life Sciences Opportunity Zone in the UK. Its occupiers include Almac and 3M.
