Bungalow scheme set for green light
A proposed bungalow development aiming to bring almost 40 new homes to Middlesbrough looks set to receive the green light.Mandale Homes is seeking the approval from Middlebrough Council for the construction of 36 bungalows on land at Beechwood.The proposals include 32 semi-detached dwellings and 4 detached dwellings. The development would be accessed off the existing road of Kirkham Row.Half of the properties would have two in-curtilage vehicle parking spaces, with the other half having one.The application site is located within an established residential area and is specifically allocated for housing in the adopted local plan.A report for the council – whose planning committee meets on 4 September – recommends that the plans be approved, subject to conditions.
