Care home and apartments plans set for go-ahead
The site of a former education centre in Sutton Coldfield could be transformed into an 85-bed care home and 45 senior living apartments, complete with a community hub, after the plans were recommended for approval.Birmingham-based MACC (Living) Ltd is behind the proposals for the Boldmere Centre in St Michael’s Road.Designed by AP Architecture in Telford, the plans would include a library, cinema, community room, gym, lounges and a restaurant.A total of 70 full-time equivalent jobs would be created if Birmingham City Council’s planning committee approves the scheme at a meeting on Thursday 12 September.The development would also include 85 car parking spaces.
