Cassidy + Ashton unveils Blackpool Airport Enterprise Zone
Plans for the creation of new sports facilities as part of the Blackpool Airport Enterprise Zone redevelopment have been revealed by Cassidy + Ashton.The practice has submitted an application on behalf of Blackpool Council for a site on Common Edge Road.They are part of the £28.8m first phase investment allocated for the redevelopment of the Blackpool Airport Enterprise Zone.It will cover approximately 34.6 acres and comprise 12 grass pitches, a full-size 3G rugby and football pitch with floodlighting, training and spectator facilities, a new changing and a social pavilion.A decision is expected in December.
