CEREMONY MARKS START OF £30M STRATFORD SCHEME
A groundbreaking ceremony has been held to mark the beginning of a £30m redevelopment in Stratford-upon-Avon.The event, which took place in Town Square earlier this week (16 February 2016), marked the start of demolition to pave the way for 26 new shops, restaurant and cafes.A four-screen Everyman Cinema will anchor the development, known as Bell Court, while hamburger chain Byron has also agreed a deal to open a 3,860 sq ft unit.Jane Jeffrey, acquisitions director of investment manager UK & European Investments, said: “Our aim is to create a high quality retail and leisure destination in the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon. Many retailers and leisure operators have pinpointed Stratford as a place they wish to invest and we’re currently in conversations with some very exciting potential occupiers.
