City centre flats plan earmarked for approval
A proposal to build 214 apartments in the centre of Birmingham has been recommended for approval.Applicant William Street Company is bidding to gain permission for the five-to-eight-storey scheme in William Street.The city council is due to make a final decision on the proposal at a meeting on Thursday 3 August.Planning officers believe the application is acceptable subject to safeguarding conditions and the completion of a section 106 agreement to secure a financial contribution of £492,200 towards off site affordable housing and public open space improvements.
