Description: The Awarding Authority currently have funding available to support regional business cluster (sector) bodies help support their members recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.Funding requests are expected to be in the range of £5,000-£25,000. Support should be additional to normal business, one off, and completed by 30 June 2021. Projects may either help the Business Support organisation itself to adapt to better support its members or deliver services to its members that assist them to recover from the pandemic and recession.The funding available is limited so we encourage business clusters to focus on the activities that will have the biggest impact on the clusters ability to recover.Clusters (and sub clusters) we would particularly encourage bids from include:Advanced ManufacturingHealth & life sciencesEnergyDigitalFinancial and professional servicesFood and drinkConstructionTourism, hospitality and leisureCultural and creativeOverheads and project management associated with the project are restricted to 20% of the total. North East LEP funds can support up to 100% of the project but should be the minimum necessary for the project to proceed.Funding is discretionary and will be used to support proposals on their merit and as many proposals as the budget will allow. Activities that we would expect to fund need to be directly aligned to dealing with and recovering from the pandemic and subsequent recession.Eligible sector support bodies should be formally constituted, based in the North East LEP area and have been operating for at least 12 months.5.
