Co-living scheme proposed for ambulance station site

Plans have been lodged to demolish a former ambulance station in Exeter to make way for a major new co-living accommodation development.Watkin Jones Group has filed fresh proposals with Exeter City Council for the Gladstone Road site following in-depth discussions with planners.The development would provide 134 co-living studios, each with a kitchenette, bathroom and study area.It will also comprise a laundry, games room, computer room and lounge area.He added that the location is “ideal” for access to Exeter’s leisure, entertainment and retail facilities, as well as cycle and bus links.The scheme is expected to welcome its first residents in 2022.
