Coach yard redevelopment given thumbs up
Plans to build more commercial space at an Olney yard occupied by a luxury coach hire service have been given the green light by Milton Keynes Council.The yard on Stilebrook Road is home to Souls Coaches, a family-run business that can trace its roots back to 1923. It comprises three buildings used for parking, maintenance and operation.Planning documents lodged by Sherwill Forbes on behalf of the business said changes in customer demand has led to surplus space on the site.The new development would allow Souls Coaches to continue to operate from the land and would also offer opportunities to smaller businesses.Under the plans, two buildings will be demolished and will be replaced by two new structures. A new site service road will also be built.The project would provide seven units in total, six of which would be released on the open market.
