Construction firm to deliver £9.5m phase two of Stoke development
The £9.5m phase two of the Tunstall Arrow development will be delivered by Caddick Construction.Network Space acquired the site in 2013 and appointed the constructor following planning approval last summer. The development will provide an additional 109,250 sq ft of industrial workspace on an 8-acre plot. 200 jobs will be created from the site and the building will be ready this autumn.The site is a 28-acre former colliery site in Stoke-on-Trent and phase two will regenerate a brownfield site, with five self-contained units ranging from 13,000 to 30,000 sq ft. The transformation will also include significant remediation to address historic coal workings and disused mine shafts.Tunstall Arrow is one of six sites in the Ceramic Valley Enterprise Zone. The CVEZ is one of 48 enterprise zones across the UK with the potential to create up to 6,700 jobs. The zone covers 3.3 million sq. ft of commercial space across six key sites along the A500 corridor.Phase one began in 2019 and has been fully let to international tenants such as Dutch tool and equipment hire company Boels Rental, German global delivery service DHL Express, Australian fleet management company SG Fleet Group.In another deal, Caddick Construction is working with Network Space on the £15m Spitfire Court industrial development compromising of 12 Grade A industrial units, taking the total park’s footprint to almost 1million sq ft.The project is due for completion by early 2022.
