Construction of two Moray schools gets back underway
Construction work on two new Moray schools has recommenced.Work on Linkwood Primary school in Elgin and Lossie High in Lossiemouth was halted almost three months ago. However, Moray Council has confirmed that work has now resumed.The council said that the £42 million Lossie High School build had been progressing ahead of schedule prior to lockdown. Once complete, it will have capacity for up to 800 pupils and will incorporate a community centre and library, swimming pool, games hall and 3G sports pitch.The £12.8 million Linkwood project will provide space for 462 pupils, including specialist ASN (additional supports needs) provision for 12 young people and 40 nursery places.
