Consultation begins on Wyre housing scheme
A consultation on plans to build 140 homes in Wyre is underway.Liverpool-based BXB Land Solutions and Promenade Estates have launched the consultation for their latest joint project.The partners are seeking outline planning permission for a 10-acre site on Fleetwood Road North in Thornton Cleveleys, acquired in February for £2m from retailer J. Sainsbury. The site has been allocated for housing by Wyre Council and the consultation is to allow the public to offer their views the emerging proposals.BXB and Promenade also recently partnered to secure consent for an 1,100 home scheme on a former glassworks site in Cowley Hill, St Helens, which includes permission for 48,000 square feet of mixed commercial space.Other consultants on the Thorton Cleveleys project include Curtins (transport), ERAP (ecology) and Urban Green (landscape). More than 1,800 homes and businesses surrounding the site have received leaflets about the scheme.
