Consultation launched on MetroGreen plans
A consultation has been launched on plans to transform brownfield land surrounding the Metrocentre in Gateshead.Gateshead Council is seeking feedback on its preferred option for the MetroGreen site, comprising a new urban community with residential neighbourhoods next to the River Tyne and River Derwent.The proposal includes 974 homes, 275,000 sq ft of leisure and ancillary uses and a 200 bed hotel that will support the intu Metrocentre.The consultation is now live and ends on 25 September 2020.
