Contractors appointed to deliver £67m Falkirk infrastructure TIF scheme

Contractors have been lined up to deliver £67 million of infrastructure investment works throughout Falkirk over the next six years, the local authority has said.A Falkirk Council report has highlighted progress on its TIF (Tax Incremental Finance) scheme and has confirmed that Henry Boot, Robertson Group and HFD Property have been appointed under a new agreement to help deliver developments on TIF sites if required.Falkirk Community Stadium will also benefit from the introduction of 156 bay solar canopies and 20 new charging stations for electric bikes and cars, to be available all year round 24/7.The council has attracted market interest in one of the main TIF development sites, the Falkirk Gateway. Developers have noted the opportunities on this 30 acre site in the vicinity of Helix Park, the Falkirk Stadium and Forth Valley College’s new campus.The proposals will be assessed over the coming months in order to select those to proceed.
