Council backs job-creating Costa unit
Proposals for the development of a job-creating Costa Coffee on a Derby retail park have been backed by the council.Costa sought planning approval to build a drive-thru facility to the north east of Foresters Leisure Park. The application site is formed by the existing curtilage of a KFC restaurant.The single-storey coffee shop will provide a seating area for 60 customers, along with a preparation area, toilets and back of house area.A reorganisation of the car parking and circulation space will provide 46 new car parking spaces, including two disabled and four staff spaces.The project is expected to create up to 15 jobs, along with roles created as part of the construction and fit-out of the unit.
