Country Club set for approval
A multi-million pound country club planned for the outskirts of Yarm has been recommended for approval by planning officers.Howson Developments has submitted plans for a timber building, housing a members-only leisure centre, swimming pool and restaurant, on land off Leven Bank Road. It is estimated the development could create 150 full and part-time jobs.Outline plans submitted to Stockton Council will be determined by councillors at a meeting on Wednesday (June 15).The facility would include private allotments, an orchard, market garden, and possibly Teesside’s first vineyard. Middlesbrough-based Hudson Quay Brasserie will run the on-site restaurant, which would be served by produce grown on-site.
