Cruden wins £7.9 million affordable housing contract
Beginning next month, the company will build 43 new houses in GlasgowThe Cruden Group has won a £7.9m contract to build affordable housing in the East End of Glasgow.Its subsidiary Cruden Building (West) has been appointed by Calvay Housing Association to build the houses in the Barlanark area.The brownfield sites will be developed to include 37 units of affordable housing at Garvel Crescent, with a further six units being constructed at Blyth Road.The energy-efficient homes will comprise a mix of two, three and four-bedroom houses and cottage flats. The development will also have dedicated landscaped parking.Work is already underway on phase one of the Victoria Infirmary redevelopmentCruden wins £43 million contract to redevelop Glasgow’s Victoria InfirmarybusinessInsiderThe Glasgow-based design team for the project includes the MAST Architects and Clyde Design Partnership.Work is due to start on site next month and is expected to be completed by spring 2023.
