Deal worth £2m for retail centre scheme signed

A project to build a new local retail centre in Worcestershire is to move forward after a £2m deal was signed. Henry Davidson Developments (HDD) has acquired three acres of land at Yew Tree Village, in Droitwich, from Barberry Group.Birmingham-based HDD plans to deliver a convenience store and up to five retail units, subject to planning consent, for residents of about 500 homes being built nearby by Redrow and Taylor Wimpey.In addition, LNT has secured a detailed planning consent to undertake the development of a 60-bed care home on the site.Construction is expected to begin later this year. The remainder of the site will consist of additional open market and affordable housing.
