Derbyshire apartments secure green light
Proposals for the development of almost 50 apartments on the site of a former car showroom have been green lit.Clowes Developments lodged plans to build 47 properties on land at the former Matlock Ford site off Causeway Lane.Full planning permission was sought for the partial demolition of existing buildings to make way for the construction of a four-storey structure providing a mixture of one and two-bedroom units.A ground floor retail unit will also be provided, consisting of 2,960 sq ft of commercial space.The application was reviewed by Derbyshire Dales District Council’s planning committee on 10 August.The scheme has now been approved, subject to conditions.
