Derelict bakery earmarked for housing
A former commercial bakery in Leamington Spa could be demolished to make way for new homes under new plans filed with Warwick District Council.Applicant Stonewater Ltd is seeking permission for the development at Sydenham Farm on St Mary’s Road.The 16 one-bed and 24 two-bed flats will be spread over two three-storey buildings on the brownfield site, which was once occupied by Elisabeth the Chef. The business relocated a number of years ago.The proposals also feature 51 car parking spaces and a communal garden.A final decision is expected to be made by the council in the coming months.
