Detailed plans for more than 60 homes in Lincolnshire village handed to council
Detailed proposals for 61 homes have been submitted to planners at West Lindsey District Council.Developer Rippon Homes Ltd has applied for full planning permission for the scheme off Hackthorn Road, Welton, having won outline permission last year.The development comprises terraced houses, coach houses and semi-detached and detached houses consisting of two, three and four bedrooms.The locations of almost 28,000 homes planned to be built across Lincolnshire over the next 21 years was revealed this summer.Local councils in Lincoln, Gainsborough and Sleaford want to build another 1,327 new homes every year until 2036 in order to hit targets for new housing demands in the county.The draft local plan will also allow limited growth in villages but a “cap” will be imposed on these areas unless they demand more homes.The draft plan identifies eight substantial urban extensions which will see more than 16,000 homes constructed by 2036 as follows:-Land South of Foxby Lane, Gainsborough (Southern Extension) – 1,600 new homes-North East Quadrant (Greetwell Quarry), Lincoln – 1400 new homes-Land East of Belt Farm, Gainsborough – 1,600 new homes by-Western Growth Corridor – 3,000 new homes-South East Quadrant, Canwick, owned by Jesus College – 3,500 new homes-Land East of London Road, Sleaford – 1,450 new homes-The Drove, Sleaford West Quadrant – 1,750 new homes-Grange Farm – 2,000 new homesIn addition to those major exapnsions, documents have revealed the locations of numerous other developments (figure represents number of homes expected over 21 years).
